130. - Rigging

Photograph 130

From a long time ago (or at least before I had my new camera, judging from the size) when the Tall Ships came in.

129. - Piano Keys

128. - Waves

Photograph 128

At our friend's house again near the beach (very cold in the middle of December). Doesn't it look live it'd be perfect to swim in?

127. - Gingerbread House

Photograph 127

This is the result of giving the little girls a gingerbread house to decorate (the moms do all the work). Compare and contrast with my previous post, if you will.

126. - Chaos (aka my brothers gingerbread house)

Photograph 126

The result of giving my brothers and their friends free reign of gingerbread house decorating.

125. - Bride and Groom

Photograph 125

Yay Beth & Collin! (I hope I spelled his name right).

124. - Let me eat cake!

Photograph 124

My cousin's (once removed? My first cousin? idk... mom's cousin) wedding cake.

123. - More Abstract Art

Photograph 123

More long exposure... Through a tunnel with lights every so often and me waving the camera up and down... interesting effect.

122. - Uh... Traffic, more or less

Photograph 122

On the ride home from Virginia (we did not leave with a high appreciation of their snow-cleaning abilities), I was having fun at night (having read myself mostly to death and not looking forward to using my lamo flashlight) by using my camera's long exposure setting in New York City. This is the abstract-art result.

121. - Rosepetals trampled in the Snow

Photograph 121

More rosepetals in the snow from my mother's cousin's wedding.

120. - Wedding Gown in the Snow

Photograph 120

So, I haven't uploaded photos in like, ten days. But I have good excuses! I was reading! Books... fantasy books! That's a good reason to neglect blogdom, right? Ok, well, in all seriousness, we went to my mom's cousin's wedding this weekend (in two feet of snow). It was actually snowing during her wedding, in Virginia. Did I mention it snowed two feet? We got stuck 2x on the way to the church (but some nice people from the neighborhood with two wheelers helped us get out). They had to move the reception and move up the time of the wedding from 5 to 12, and it was a good thing my aunt the hairdresser was there because the one signed up canceled. But it worked out, and they're married (that's the important thing). Anyways, this is a photo of the Bride's train in the snow with rosepetals.

118. - Ice Encased Grass

Photograph 118

An old photo (one or two years ago) of ice encasing grass.

117. - Bee on the Flower

Photograph 117

This is a photo I took a LONG time ago.

116. - Orchid...

Photograph 116

This is the sort of flower I could have a nightmare about. It looks like something from a dark "Alice in Wonderland".

115. - Red Mushroom

Photograph 115

As perhaps you might have guessed, this is an older photo. From a mushroom photographing excursion back in our woods sometime this summer... or spring. I'm not altogether sure.

114. - Streetlight

Photograph 114

This is an attempt at photographing a streetlight in the snow (under an umbrella) with long exposure. None of my attempts seemed particularly worthy of blogdom, but then I messed with this one in iphoto... heaven knows what I did, but mom thought it looked cool so here it is!
Here's the original:

113. - Ice

Photograph 113

Sorry I've neglected updating photos for so long. Here is a photo of God's natural abstract art. It's from one of those times when the top of a puddle freezes but the rest of the water drains away and then makes interesting patterns.

112. - Gathering Corn

Photograph 112

A couple years ago I had a job working packing corn in the mornings (early mornings). It made for nice photo opportunities. Here's a blog post I wrote about it:

111. - Icy Berries

Photograph 111

I think I took this one with my old crappy camera, so sorry if it's not as good as it could be. I still like the photo.

110. - Sanibel Island Lighthouse

Photograph 110

Down in Florida, Sanibel Island (I think).

109. - Boy, Fisherman, Seagull

Photograph 109

Last year for my birthday my dad drove me around to take photos of things.

108. - Egret

Photograph 108

From our trip to Florida; these birds let us walk up right next to them.

107. - Web and Horse

Photograph 107

This is another old photo, it's near our house where there's a horse barn. This was a hole in the fence I took a photo through; the blurry silouette in the background is actually a horse.

Here it is also in B&W, I couldn't decide which version I liked better.

106. - Seagull

Photograph 106

I've decided to dig up some old photos that I've taken, this is from March 2008, when we visited our grandparents in Florida.

105. - Gravestone

Photograph 105

We visited the nursing home this afternoon and in the woods nearby there is an old gravesite.

104. - Seagulls in the Surf

Photograph 104

Seagulls at the beach during sunset... on Nov. 30. I can't imagine how they deal with the cold.
