The Fruita (UT) schoolhouse was opened in 1896, supported and payed for by the Mormon settlers. It had anywhere from 8 to 26 students attending classes at any one time. The building also served for as a community meeting place, a sunday school, and Saturday night social meeting place. - According to the little sign outside.
